Safe And Effective Psoriasis Treatment At High Valley Dermatology

Psoriasis is a fairly common disease of the skin.  It is genetic and it is not contagious.  About 2-4% of the population is affected with the disease, and most of them have the plaque form of the disease.  There currently is no cure for psoriasis but there are some pretty good treatments that people with the disease respond to.  Our XTRAC excimer laser treatment system is the first FDA approved laser treatment for psoriasis and it is amazing. It is also available here in Idaho Falls!

Will The XTRAC Laser System Work For You?

Psoriasis as a skin disease causes inflammation of the skin.  This is manifested by patches of abnormal skin that varies in severity and size.  Red patches of skin that have whitish, scaly surfaces can appear on the arms, legs, stomach and scalp of sufferers.  It can be uncomfortable, itchy and painful.  Treatments to control it range from steroid and vitamin d creams to phototherapy to drugs such as methotrexate and ciclosporin.
While some people have success with these treatments, we think our XTRAC laser is even better.  If you have mild to moderate psoriasis, please call Dr. Lindsay Sewell, Dr. Lena Gowring, Dr. Brandon Miner, and Joseph Anderson PA-C today.  Relief of psoriasis symptoms can come in 10 or less treatments, usually 2 per week.  The laser focuses only on the psoriasis and healthy skin is not damaged.  There is very little or no discomfort involved and it works fast.  This is a laser psoriasis treatment at our Idaho Falls office and it may be the answer to you psoriasis issues.
In addition to psoriasis, the XTRAC laser system is also effective for the skin condition vitiligo.  Vitiligo is a condition where the loss of the skin pigment melanin causes white patches which can appear all over the body and face.  The XTRAC laser targets a beam of UVB light only to the affected areas of skin.  You may need at least 10 and up to 30 treatments to see the full benefits of the laser.  XTRAC can also be used to treat dermatitis (eczema), another inflammation of the skin.  again, this laser treatment is usually effective within 10 or so treatment sessions.  The relief is long lasting (up to several months!) and it is painless and fast!
Remember, the XTRAC laser system works for people suffering from:
