For the last 5 years, High Valley Dermatology has given free skin cancer screenings to over 1000 people! Join Us May 6th, 2019 For Your Free Screening! We are your Southeast Idaho dermatology specialists.

For the last 5 years, High Valley Dermatology has given free skin cancer screenings to over 1,000 people! On the first Monday of May, we open our doors to the public and give a free screening to our great local residents.  We are pleased to share that we have caught and treated dozens of skin cancers because of the early detection.

The important thing is to get in for a skin exam! On average, dermatologists in the US treat over three point five million skin cancers a year

Skin Cancer is no joke–early detection is key. As many as four hundred thousand skin cancers yearly are linked to tanning beds. Many of our patients tell us they don’t know why they waited so long to come in and how they wish they hadn’t waited so long to see us. We understand you are busy, but your health is too important to delay. Whether you’re at high risk for skin cancer or someone you love is, don’t wait till it’s too late. Our practice has board certified dermatologists and we are your skin cancer specialists. We have appointments available so call right now to get your skin checked and have peace of mind.

Melanoma Information

Malignant Melanoma(MM) is the most dangerous skin cancer and can occur on any surface of the skin.   If left untreated, it is more likely than other skin cancers to spread to other parts of the body.  When cancer cells do spread, called metastasis, they break away from the original growth and enter the blood vessels or lymph vessels.
