1- Cleanse your skin very gently twice daily– Once each morning and night because oil and dirt can irritate your already irritated skin. Make sure to choose a gentle cleanser, using circular motions to rub onto skin, since off with lukewarm water, and pat dry your skin.
2- Moisturize every day- Moisturizing your skin helps trap water in your skin. It can reduce the irritation and dryness.
3-Protect your skin year round from the sun– The sun worsens Rosacea. Wearing sunscreen can reduce rosacea flare-ups.
4-Choose rosacea friendly skin care products- when choosing skin care products, read the ingredients before you buy. Avoid anything that contains: Alcohol, Camphor, Fragrance, Glycolic acid, Lactic acid, Menthol, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Urea
5-Test skin care products and makeup before applying them to your face- If you have never tried a product, testing can help. Dab a small amount near your rosacea-prone skin. if it irritates your skin within 72 hours you will know not to use it.
6-Be gentle with your skin- Anything that irritates your skin can worsen your rosacea. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing.
